Josie’s tears

The last couple times I have dropped Josie off at day care she has cried. I have been getting there a little early so the kids aren’t eating yet. She got used to the routine of eating immediately when I dropped her off. If I put her down with the other kids who are playing, she cries and wants me to pick her up. After I leave, I see through the window, she wants one of the staff to tend to her crying self right away.

This is still difficult for her – being left. The routines help her contain her emotion, but the emotion is still there.

She is the oldest and biggest one in the room.
